Originally drafted 113th overall by the Edmonton Oilers at the 1981 NHL Entry Draft after playing his junior hockey as a member of the Saskatoon Blades, Marc Habscheid would suit up in 345 National Hockey League games over the course of his career, wearing the colours of the Oilers as well as the Minnesota North Stars, Detroit Red Wings and Calgary Flames over that time. Having won a gold medal with Canada at the 1982 IIHF World Junior Champioships and then playing on Canada's Olympic team in 1988, offered here is this Minnesota North Stars jersey worn by Habscheid during the 1987-88 season after he returned to the team following the Olympic Games. A 2nd set offering made by CCM, a washed out Maska Air-Knit label is affixed to the inner collar with the jersey measuring out to roughly a modern size "50". Having had a tonal green and white CCM logo embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a North Stars team crest in layered tackle twill while Habscheid's number "10" has been sewn over the sleeves and verso in dual layer drop-shadow white-over-yellow tackle twill numerals. Displaying "Habscheid" spelt out in single layer white tackle twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, the jersey exhibits game-wear in the form of light stick marks over the front and both sleeves, with the latter of the two (2) areas riddled with numerous team repairs that total approximately seventeen (17) by our count, more wear is spotted via small unrepaired holes over the lower front and both sleeves, a red coloured board paint transfer mark over the right hip, a small repair over the lower front and of course board burns on both forearms, it is also worthy of mention that good pilling is present on the interior as well.
