The Calder Memorial Trophy winner in 1971, averaging almost a-point-a-game throughout his rookie season, Gilbert Perreault spent his entire 17-season career with Buffalo, earning 8 All-Star Game appearances along with the Lady Byng Trophy, in 1973. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990 and playing for Team Canada internationally at both the 1976 and 1981 Canada Cup tournaments, offered here is this stick issued to Perreault for use at the 1981 Canada Cup that has been signed by approximately twenty-two (22) members of Canada's 1981 Canada Cup squad. A Victoriaville made Ultra 2000 model twig with "Perreault" stamped to the upper shaft and accented with a tri-colour accent sticker over the lower portion of the shaft, the stick has never had tape applied to the handle/knob or blade. Remaining in good condition overall with some handling and age wear observed throughout, the stick has had the graphics sanded down on the forehand side the shaft to facilitate the approximately twenty-two (22) signatures from players on Canada's 1981 Canada Cup squad including Gretzky, Bossy, Dionne, Bourque, Beck, Gainey, Robinson, Gillies, Gare, Linseman, Dugay, Goring, Edwards, Middleton, Lafleur and others. All signed in black ballpoint pen, most of the signatures remain legible despite some fading from age while others are harder to make out than the others.
