Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024

Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 1961, Joe Hall played senior and professional hockey from 1902 to 1919, when he died as a result of the Spanish flu pandemic. Known for his rough and aggressive playing style, Hall would play his entire NHA and NHL career with the Quebec Bulldogs and Montreal Canadiens. A three-time Stanley Cup champion who would hoist Lord Stanley's coveted small bowl in 1907 with Kenora plus 1912 and 1913 with Quebec, offered here is this copy of Hall's rookie card from the gorgeous 1911-12 Imperial Tobacco C55 hockey release. Depicted in his striped Quebec Bulldogs sweater with his arms crossed and stick in hand, this particular copy of the over century old release has been graded to the tune of a GOOD+ 2.5 mark from PSA. Off-center a bit from left-to-right and sporting rounded corners, the card retains excellent colours and fairly clean front and back surfaces. Housed in a PSA holder that remains in good condition but shows a small number of scratches and scuffs that are worth mentioning for accuracy, don't miss out on this one for your all important vintage collection!
