Always an enticing set for collectors to add to their inventory, the 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee release consisted of bright colours and a 264-card checklist, with this near complete assembly of the release up for grabs here. Presenting in the overall uniform high-grade condition range of EX-MT to NM for the most part, there is group of twenty-three (23) cards that present with a small crease including #'s 10, 12, 37, 71, 86, 89, 90, 100, 105, 113, 117, 122, 139, 148, 154, 155, 202, 215, 223, 230, 232, 239 and 244, a small group, also of twenty-three (23) cards, show multiple small or large creases as well including #'s 13, 22, 55, 56, 61, 65, 94, 96, 97, 111, 118, 125, 133, 145, 163, 180, 185, 186, 188, 199, 219, 220 and 233. Additionally, in the balance of the remaining cards, twenty (20) have a wax stain/residues over their fronts that are worthy of mention for accuracy. Missing just #'s 5-B. Hull, 234-T. Esposito AS, 235-B. Hull AS and trophies 254, 255, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 261, 262 and 263 for completion, for the included key cards, those of 24-Checklist (unmarked), 24-Howe, 67-Park RC (80-20 centering), 153-T. Esposito (2nd card), 177-Lapointe RC, 195-Clarke RC, 218-Sittler RC (light OPC cut), 236-Orr AS, 238-Howe AS, 246-Orr Hart Trophy, 248-Orr Norris Trophy, 249-Orr Art Ross Trophy and 252-Orr Conn Smythe Trophy (very small ding to bottom left) are all in the neighbourhood of EX-MT to NM while 1-Cheevers (tiny dings to left side corners) and 131-Perreault RC (print line on front and small scratch on top border of reverse) are around EX to EX-MT. Finally, both card #3 of Bobby Orr (slightly dirty on reverse and top left corner wear) and #132, the checklist (unmarked - slight back stain - bottom border ding) are in the scope of EX condition while card #78 of Bernie Parent is closer to VG-EX to EX because of wear to the left border and corners. Of note, card #34 of Gilles Marotte is completely off-center and the all-star card of Frank Mahovlich sports a corner ding.
