Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Just the third goaltender in NHL history to reach 500 wins after Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur, Marc-Andre Fleury debuted for the Pittsburgh Penguins and spent over a dozen seasons in Pennsylvania as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships. Selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, Fleury would lead the Golden Knights to a trip to Stanley Cup Finals in their first ever season before playing three (3) more seasons with the club and capturing the Vezina Trophy in 2021. A surefire Hockey Hall of Fame inductee once he retires, offered here is this 2018-19 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection "Autographed Shield Materials" card of "Flower". Featuring a stoic image of Fleury along the right hand side of the card with the distinguished "1/1" designation along the bottom edge, an NHL shield emblem taken from a Golden Knights jersey worn by Fleury, displaying in full glory, is embedded into the front of the card on the right side alongside Marc-Andre's crisp blue ink signature that displays without issue. Remaining in its original raw ungraded condition, the card is found to be in overall excellent condition and sports light wear to the corners and edges that is worthy of mention for accuracy.
