Centering a line with veterans Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay in only his second NHL season, Norm Ullman would spend over two decades in both Detroit and Toronto, with over 1000 career games played and over 1000 points scored. Suiting up in a total of 11 NHL All-Star Games and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982, offered here we present this stick used by Ullman as a member of the Detroit Red Wings in the mid-to-late-1960s. A Northland made "Custom Pro" model that has "Ullman" stamped over the shaft, additional stamps from Northland and Olympic Sporting Goods in Detroit grace the upper part of the stick on each side while "Lie No. 5" is partially covered by the original black tape job that graces both the handle/knob and a portion of the blade. Of note, some of the blade tape was removed at one point with the residue of its former placement still observed. Sporting intact black accent stripes near the bottom of the shaft, the stick displays good game-use via dark marks throughout the entirety of the shaft, lower shaft, heel and untaped sections of the blade. Additionally, a good sized dent/gash is seen on the top side of the lower shaft and cracks that dont affect the structural nature of the stick are found throughout the blade with the heaviest being found near the toe of the stick.
