Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Extremely popular during the late-19th century and early-20th, pulp magazines were produced for an endless amount of topics, including lurid tales dealing with crime or matters of the heart. Sporting ventures were popular as well, and we offer a nice collection of 30 pulp mags that range from the turn of the century until the 1950s. Included, we have 13 Tip Top Weekly magazines from the early-1900s through the 1910s, featuring football, basketball, boxing, track, skiing and more, and 17 "The Champion" magazines from the 1940s/50s featuring auto/motorcycle racing, skiing, boxing, cricket and more. Ideal for display with attractive colourful covers, condition ranges, with the majority showing some wear from age and handling. The pulp material used was also very susceptible to degrading, which is seen with some issues.
