Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Featuring two of the best players in the history of the Chicago Blackhawks to don the famed Indigenous head crest over their chests, both Patrick Kane and Bobby Hull were able to lead the Windy City club to Stanley Cup glory during their careers, with Kane winning a trio of mugs (2010, 2013 and 2015) with Hull adding a ring to his finger in 1961. Offered here, is this trio of cards profiling the Chicago legends. Paced by a copy of Kane's 2010-11 Upper Deck The Cup "Honorable Numbers" autograph/patch card that pictures him near the top on the front, a pair of swatches taken from one of his game-worn jerseys are embedded into the front while the surefire future Hall of Fame inductee has signed underneath his image with a bold blue marker ink signature that displays without issue. Hand serial numbered "07/88" in matching blue marker ink, the card is joined by a 2009-10 O-Pee-Chee "Premier Stitchings" card that features a manufactured patch embedded into the front that brings attention to the fact that Kane was selected 1st overall at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Additionally, the card is serial numbered "088/199", Kane's jersey number, in gold foil numbers that have been stamped over front bottom edge. Lastly, rounding out the trio of cards, is a copy of Bobby Hull's 2009-10 SP "Sign of the Times" autograph card. Not serial numbered and showing an image of Hull from the early portion of his card at one side, "The Golden Jet" has signed over the front with a large blue marker ink signature that displays well despite some fading from age. All remaining in excellent condition overall and found in raw ungraded form, the Hull card shows light wear to the corners including a small ding at the bottom left while the Kane cards also sporting light corner wear as well that is heaviest on the "Premier Stitchings" offering.
