A staple with cigarette smokers during the late-19th century, tobacco companies inserted cards into packs that covered a wide range of themes, offered here is this blast from the past with over one hundred (100) years of history behind it in the form of a vintage turn-of-the-century scrapbook that features greater than 475 tobacco cards pasted onto its pages. A large and very old book in itself that seems to pertain to topics of discussion in Canadian government at the time in the late-1800s, there are roughly 490 total cards glued onto its pages, which are fragile and tattered, showcasing subjects such as the; 1908 C29-2 Beauties/Smoke Girls, 1910 T106 State Girls, 1900 C49 British Man of War, 1910 C65 The Worlds Dreadnaughts Battleships, 1910 C14 Game Bird Series, 1911 C54 Fowls, Pigeons and Dogs, 1909 Drum Horses, 1908 C244 Flag Girls of all Nations, 1912 C64 Prominent Men of Canada, 1910 C241 Actresses, 1910-20 C90 Actresses, 1903 Wills Actresses, 1910 C117 British Views, 1903 T440 Girls in Costumes, 1911 Order's of Chivalry, 1910 Police of the World, 1911 C42 Arms of the British Empire and 1909-11 T59 Flags of all Nations, plus a couple of others. Also including numerous clippings and cut-outs of sports teams, politicians and royalty that are found throughout the pages of the book, some notable ones exist of Abe Lincoln, King Edward, Nicolas - Czar of Russia, Theodore Roosevelt, Queen Victoria, the Prince and Princess of Wales, John A. McDonald and Wilfred Laurier while the sports images include an early team photo of the "Renfrew Hockey Club". A truly fascinating piece and treasure trove for you to ponder.
