Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Earning his fourth and final William M. Jennings Trophy during his time with Dallas in 1999 - a season that also witnessed the Stars and HOFer capture a Stanley Cup championship, Ed Belfour would spend five seasons in Texas which included a trio of appearances at the NHL All-Star Game. From his time with the Stars in the early-2000s, we have a signed stick used by the superstar netminder. A Christian model with “Belfour” stamped, his partially-covered trademark eagle has been affixed at the heel, with the original black tape on the blade and handle, and white over the knob. The paddle has been customized, with the paddle tops shaved down. The original striping accent is also intact above the tape on the handle, with Belfour adding a gold sharpie signature at the top of the paddle. Exhibiting wear along the paddle and shaft in the form of puck marks and paint loss to the logos, the toe of the blade shows a few cracks with chunks missing. Despite this, the stick appears completely solid. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany.
