Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Two (2) of the greatest players to ever suit up in the uniform of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita would play a combined total of 2432 games with the Windy City based club, helping the franchise to a Stanley Cup championship in 1961 and both being inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983. With both also known for popularizing the introduction of the curved stick to the game, offered here is this collection of Hull and Mikita Blackhawks memorabilia. Paced by modern Northland Pro Hall of Fame model sticks that have been individually signed by both men with blue marker ink signatures that display without issue despite their age, "Hull" is stamped over the upper shaft of one (1) while "Mikita" graces the same area of the other. Never having been taped and retaining accent stickers around the bottom of both shafts, both sticks remain in good condition but show some marks over each from age and handling. For the rest of the lot, included is a group of five (5) of the Topps "Hockey Bucks" inserts that were inserted into packs of the company's 1962-63 product which features Hull and Mikita as well as Glenn Hall, Elmer Vasko and Bill Hay. All remaining in good condition with wear found via fold lines, edge/corner wear and toning throughout, also included are 1962-63 H.M. Cowan/Screenart tiles of both Hull and Mikita that come with their original boxes and remain in overall excellent condition with just light surface wear over both while the last items are 1964-65 Coca-Cola bottle caps of both Hull and Mikita that are in overall good condition with just light surface wear and light scratches over both that is worth noting for accuracy.
