Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

Drafted 9th overall by the San Jose Sharks in 2009 and a product of the Ontario Hockey League's Ottawa 67's, Logan Couture has played his entire career on the West Coast thus far to the tune of nearly 1000 National Hockey League games. One of the best Stanley Cup Playoff performers of his generation and having served as San Jose's captain since the beginning of the 2019-20 season, offered here is this pair of gloves worn by Couture in the early portion of the 2020s, circa 2020-21 or 2021-22. Warrior made AX1 model gauntlets in San Jose's teal, black and white colours, "Couture" is found embroidered into each wrist. Displaying "Warrior" over both cuffs along with sewn on logo patches on top of each thumb, the gloves show moderate game-wear via rubbing to each palm, heaviest in the right one, sweat staining to the ends of the fingers, frayed threads over the outside of both and stick marks/scuffs over both the Warrior logo patches on the thumbs. Additionally, Getty Image #1232717423 and #1232717686 (May 5th, 2021 vs Colorado) appear to show matches to the wear and scuff patterns on the Warrior logo of the left thumb but are not clear enough for us to call a definitive photo-match.
