Led by key rookie cards for Nolan Ryan and Johnny Bench, the 1968 Topps Baseball checklist is loaded. While the '68 design earns a mixed reaction from the hobby, and many view it as one of the weaker vintage options from Topps, interest remains very strong. Featuring a small decrease in the size of the checklist from the previous year, dipping down to 598 cards, the set is filled with superstars, future Hall of Fame players and one of the most pursued rookie cards of the post-war era. Offered here, we present this collection of over 200 cards from the 1968 Topps baseball release. Featuring a mix of conditions throughout the entire grouping, among the key cards, condition leaders include 85-Perry and 86-Stargell (x2) in the scope of EX to EX-MT condition while the cards of 1-"National League 1967 Batting Leaders" (Clemente/Gonzalez/Alou - light corner wear), 3-"National League 1967 RBI Leaders" (Cepeda/Clemente/Aaron - light corner wear), 20-B. Robinson (top left corner ding), 50-Mays (small elastic mark at right border) and 103-Sutton (factory print line at right border) are all in the scope of VG-EX to EX shape. Also including a VG to VG-EX example of card #280 that pictures Mickey Mantle over the front that presents with corner wear, rounding out the key cards are G to VG specimens of 370-Aaron AS, 374-Clemente AS and 500-F. Robinson (corner wear) and PR to FR cards of 110-Aaron (multiple creases) and 490-"Super Stars" (Killebrew/Mays/Mantle - creases). Also including roughly eighty-five (85) cards around EX condition and one hundred and fifty-five (155) in the neighbourhoods of G to VG and VG to VG-EX, the group also includes seventy (70) other Topps cards from the 1960s and 1970s plus four (4) from the 1950s and two (2) 1966 OPC cards.
