Drafted by Los Angeles before three strong junior seasons that included scoring 191 points in 1985-86 for Hull in the Q, Luc Robitaille spent the majority of his HOF career in Hollywood, spread over three different stints. We have a stick used by the 1987 Calder Memorial winner during his rookie era in the NHL in the mid-to-late-1980s, circa 1986-89. A KOHO model with “Robitaille” stamped, the original black tape is in place over the handle/knob with white wrapped around the blade while both striping accents are largely intact as well. With Luc's number "20" penned in black marker ink underneath the handle tape, spot staining and discolouration is observed over both sides of the blade tape and on the topside of the blade stem area as well. Exhibiting game-use via puck marks over both sides of the blade tape and the untaped sections of the blade as well near the toe, addition marks are seen throughout the heel, lower shaft and shaft including puck, stick and red post paint transfer marks. Sporting a factory stamp on the underside of the lower shaft that reads "2905 11", Robitaille has signed the forehand side of the lower shaft with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue.
