A three-time NHL All-Star with the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy won in 2000, Pavol Demitra dressed for four different NHL clubs before passing in the ill-fated 2011 Yakovlev Yak-42 passenger jet crash that killed the members of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Hailing from his lone season in tinseltown as a member of the Los Angeles Kings, offered here is this stick used by Demitra during the 2005-06 season that has been signed by approx. 23 members of that years Kings squad. A Bauer 3030 model with "P. Demitra" stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retain's Pavol's original tape job of black over both the handle/knob and blade. Having had a now dried gripping agent applied to the mid-section of the shaft and exhibiting good game-use, light marks and abrasions are observed throughout the lower shaft, heel and blade of the stick with the aforementioned cracked/broken on the backhand side. Also sporting a cut through the tape on the forehand, the handle has been shaved down to Demitra's liking while some wear is seen on the bottom edge of the blade, as are marks over both sides of the tape. Having been signed by approx. 23 members of the 2005-06 Los Angles Kings over the forehand side of the shaft and heel, those that have signed the stick include Conroy, LaBarbera, Robitaille, Cammalleri, Roenick, Parrish, Dempsey, Kostopoulos, Gleason, Flinn, Brown, Belanger, Demitra and others. Having been signed in signed in a thick silver marker with some of the autographs hard to make out due to either some smudging or bunching, most still display well and are legible including the ones listed above. Additionally, "Los Angeles Kings 2005-06" has been penned in matching ink over the forehand side of the blade tape.
