Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Having to retire sadly due to concussion-related injuries in 2011, Dave Scatchard appeared for a number of NHL clubs during his tenure, including Vancouver, Boston, Nashville and New York. This New York Islanders jersey was worn by the Hinton native in 2003-04. Size “58” labeling is sewn-down on the collar, with KOHO and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the familiar Long Island team crest with embroidered detailing, the navy “Set 2” V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with an alternate patch over the right shoulder. Sporting a few puck and stick marks over the front band, there are board burns to each sleeve and two team repairs near the left elbow. There is also some pilling to the interior sleeves. A MeiGray patch numbered "B05840" resides on the inside hem near the team patch, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "Navy 2nd Regular Season" specimen. An LOA will accompany.
