Registering a record of 41-23-9 with nine (9) shutouts, a .914 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average, Martin Brodeur would lead the New Jersey Devils to a Stanley Cup championship during the 2002-03 season, the third of his career, while also claiming the first Vezina Trophy of his career. Finishing third in Hart Memorial Trophy voting at the year's conclusion, offered here is this stick used by Brodeur during the 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Boston Bruins during the first round that has been photo-matched to Game 2. A CCM Heaton 10 model twig in New Jersey's black, red and white colourway, "M. Brodeur" is stamped to the upper shaft. Retaining its original tape job white over the knob and black wrapped around the blade, a notation reading "BOS 2" has been penned to the tape on the knob in black marker ink. Exhibiting just light-to-moderate game-use throughout, puck marks are seen over the paddle on the forehand side as well as on both sides of the blade tape, which also shows a cut on the backhand side as well. With additional game-use observed via more cuts over the backhand side of the paddle and nicks over the upper shaft, red post paint transfer marks are present on the backhand side of the upper shaft as well. Regarding the aforementioned photo-matches, the stick is matched with Getty Image #1933523 (April 11th, 2003 vs Boston Bruins - 2003 Stanley Cup Quarter-Finals Game 2) to the puck marks on the forehand side of the paddle in the first "C" and "M" of CCM. Additionally, a Steiner hologram numbered "234080" has been affixed over the heel.
