This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
A product of the University of New Hampshire Wildcats in the NCAA who would be drafted 66th overall by the Quebec Nordiques at the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, Jay Miller would go on to play a total of 446 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings. Offered here, we present this jersey worn by Miller during the 1989-90 pre-season. An Ultrafil knit offering made by CCM, a washed out label displaying a size "54" designation penned to it in blue ballpoint pen ink is affixed to the inner collar while the CCM logo is embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Kings team crest that sports embroidered details throughout, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Miller's number "29" in sewn on dual layer tackle twill numerals. Having had "Miller" spelt out in matching style dual layer letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, the jersey worn only in pre-season play, displays with just light wear including pilling at each cuff from rubbing against Miller's gloves, a small mark/board burn over the hem of the left hip, a pair of small and shallow cuts near the left shoulder and pilling on the interior at both elbows and behind the fight strap. Additionally, a penned black marker ink notation reading "To Dave, All The Best" is found through the bottom portion of the team crest.
