Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Currently the vice president of business and community development for the Ottawa Senators, Chris Neil spent his entire NHL career with the club, and is best remembered as an enforcer. The Sens retired Neil's #25 in a ceremony that took place before a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on February 17, 2023. This Senators alternate captain's jersey was worn by Neil in 2015-16. Size 58 tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the attractive Senators team crest that first saw use in 2007, the V-neck garment has been accented with double-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The jersey shows great game-use with a few dark marks to the front and sleeves along with heavy burns and resulting small holes and slits to the lower right sleeve. There is also pilling to the interior and beneath the fight strap, with a single team repair on the left sleeve. The team stamp is affixed to the fight strap, with a COA from the Sens to accompany.
