Released at the beginning of the National Hockey League's 67th season of play, a year in which the Edmonton Oilers, lead by Wayne Gretzky, de-throned the four-time defending Stanley Cup champion New York Islanders four games to one in the Cup finals to win their first of the franchise's five (5) Stanley Cup championships in a seven year period, offered here is this group of over 350 cards from the 1983-84 hockey card set that have all been signed by the players featured over the fronts. Found to be in the overall condition range of EX-MT to NM throughout its entirety, the group is paced by those of 29-Gretzky (EX-MT to NM - blue marker ink signature), 45-Bourque (EX-MT to NM - blue ballpoint pen ink signature), 99-T. Esposito (EX-MT to NM - blue marker ink signature), 185-Carbonneau RC (EX to EX-MT - light corner wear at the bottom - black ballpoint pen ink signature), 187-Gainey (EX-MT to NM - blue ballpoint pen ink signature), 195-Robinson (EX-MT to NM - blue ballpoint pen ink signature), 262-Clarke (EX-MT to NM - black ballpoint pen ink signature), 267-Howe (EX-MT to NM - blue ballpoint pen ink signature), 272-Sittler (EX-MT to NM - blue ballpoint pen ink signature), 292-Goulet (EX-MT to NM - black ballpoint pen ink signature), 341-Salming (EX-MT - slight wear at the bottom right - blue marker ink signature), 365-Langway HL (EX-MT to NM - blue ballpoint pen ink signature) and 376-Steevens RC (VG-EX to EX - corner wear at the top left - black marker ink signature). Also including a copy of Mike Vernon's 1987-88 OPC rookie card that is around EX-MT and signed by him with a black marker ink signature, all the cards have been signed with a mix of marker and ballpoint pen ink signatures that are found to display well overall though some show things like fading/lightness and smudging, the rest of the assembly also includes a group of HOFers that features names such as; Hawerchuk, Langway (x2), Federko, Goulet, Sittler (x2), Ciccarelli (x2), Francis, Park (x3), McDonald and Perreault while HOF rookie cards include Stevens, Carbonneau and another copy of Vernon. With the lot rounded out by the RC's of players like Tanti (x2), Larmer, Ludzig and Housley (x4), it is worth noting that the group is accompanied by a JSA Auction LOA that is for the first group of fourteen (14) cards listed above.
