Leading the NHL in points in six seasons throughout his HOF career, Mario Lemieux made his presence instantly known as a rookie, scoring 100 points in 73 games in 1984-85. A two-time Stanley Cup champion as a player who faced adversity like no other during his storied NHL career and the only player able to be compared to the likes of Wayne Gretzky, offered here, we present this copy of Mario's all-important rookie card that was part of O-Pee-Chee's 1985-86 hockey release, found at #9 in the checklist. Having been inspected and slabbed by the graders at Beckett, this particular example of Mario's first-year cardboard was deemed worthy of an NM-MT 8 assessment for its effort, with subgrades of Centering 8, Corners 8.5, Edges 8.5, and Surface 7.5 also being displayed along the bottom of the label. Housed in a Beckett holder that remains in nice clean condition over both sides. The card is sure to be a welcome addition to your all-important collection.
