Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Howe and the Red Wings secured their fourth Stanley Cup championship in six years during the 1954-55 season, following their seventh consecutive regular season title – a record that still stands. After clinching the NHL scoring title for four consecutive seasons preceding the release of this card, Howe is described on the back of the card as having established himself as one of hockey's "immortals" and a "perfectly coordinated young giant from Western Canada still approaching his peak." Housed in a Beckett holder that remains in nice, clean condition over both sides, the card is sure to be a pleasing addition to your collection.
