Appearing for 6 different NHL clubs during his career, Todd Bertuzzi also represented Canada at the World Championships and Olympic Games, with NHL All-Star Game appearances made in both 2003 and 2004. From his seventh of eight seasons with Vancouver before moving on to Florida, we have a photo-matched Canucks alternate captain’s jersey worn in 2003-04. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar (with handwritten "X"), with NHL and Koho crests over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive tackle twill team crest with embroidered detailing, “44” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered twill, with matching vintage style crests over each shoulder. "44 Bertuzzi" is also handwritten to the fight strap. Exhibiting a few faint stick marks to the front band, there are marks, scrapes and board burns to the sleeves, with some paint transfer near the right cuff. Getty Image #50899455 (Feb 13, 2004) has been matched to numerous threading particularities within the "44" on the right sleeve, with the burn mark beneath the first "4" of "44" also visible. A MeiGray patch numbered “B08799” is affixed to the inside hem, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a "Navy 2nd Regular Season" specimen. An LOA will accompany.
