Founded in 1925 and having enjoyed a long history throughout their existence, winning multiple championships over that time playing in the first and second leagues of the former Czechoslovakia and current Slovakia. Competing throughout the decade of the 1970s in the 1st. Slovak National Hockey League, the second level of ice hockey in Czechoslovakia at that time, offered here is this TJ ZVL Zilina game-worn jersey that dates from the 1970s. Sporting no labeling on the interior other than a faded makers label reading "Odevní Tvorba Pardubice" (Clothing Production Pardubice) inside the left hip seam, the thin yellow and green cotton shirt measures out to roughly a size "46" for its effort. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Zilina team crest in layered yellow-over-green cotton twill, deep green coloured knit stripes have been added over the hem of the body and the sleeves also while chevron like shapes have been individually sewn on in the same areas as well. Styled over the sleeves and verso with the number "14" in green-over-white drop-shaddow dual layer cotton twill letters, "Zilina" is spelt out in matching style letters that have been individually sewn on over the lower reverse. Displaying what appears to be evidence of a formerly applied nameplate over the top of the reverse, the jersey shows good game-use with team repairs found throughout the body and sleeves while various other marks and spot stains are present throughout as well. Also sporting small unrepaired holes throughout the piece, the sleeves have had extra material added to the end of each cuff to lengthen them. With light pilling present on the interior, don't miss out on this piece of international hockey history.
