Playing four (4) years of junior hockey with the Selkirk Steelers of the MJHL and then three (3) years with the Michigan State University Spartans in the NCAA, Dale Krentz would go on to play a total of thirty (30) games in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings between 1986 and 1989. Spending most of his career in the AHL as a member of the Adirondack Red Wings or overseas in Germany, offered here is this AHL Adirondack Red Wings jersey worn by Krentz in the mid-to-late-1980s. Made by CCM with the company's logo embroidered into the reverse hem, the interior collar is void of any tagging. Measuring out to a size "48" and decorated over the front with the crest of the Detroit Red Wings that features embroidered details throughout, Krentz's number "16" has been sewn to the sleeves and verso in single layer white twill numerals while "Krentz" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back. Exhibiting strong game-use, stick marks are seen throughout the front, reverse and both sleeves with numerous fabric backed and sewn team repairs throughout the body and sleeves observed as well. WIth the sleeves also sporting additional wear in the form of board burns and coloured paint transfer marks as well, the interior of the jersey shows pilling and some minor salting in the snaps of the fight strap.
