One of the oldest and earliest collected sports, modern golf originated in Scotland, with the British Open the oldest tournament in existence. We offer a neat group of collectible golfing items. Included, we have a pair of 19th century die cut trade cards, 5 early-1900s postcards including two advertising Lowney's Chocolates, a Lucky Strike Eddie Buzzell trade card, a DeLong Son & Co bookmark, 1930 Golf for Beginners booklet with Walter Hagen cover, 8 1930s/40s ink blotters, 2 mid-century trade cards, a mini 1910 calendar, 1949 calendar, two 1920s theatre booklets with Lucky Strike golf ads on the reverse covers (Hagen and Farrell), a WGA scorecard box (18" x 4" x 3"), 11 small Wilson trays with golfer images (4", some duplication), Ram, Cougar and Worthington 3-ball boxes (all complete, with the Worthington balls still sealed), Wilson K-28 12-ball complete box (wear and tearing to the original cellophane, staining and wear to the box), Lee Trevino Faultless 12-ball complete box, White Ace 12-ball complete box, Dunlop 65 12-ball complete box - balls all individually sealed, a Jack Nicklaus MacGregor 12-ball box with sealed MacGregor Master balls inside (box and balls do not match), and a Spalding Super-Flite II 12-ball complete box (moderate wear to the box). The majority of the items show light wear unless otherwise noted.
