Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/29/2023
The final game the franchise played at their home arena, the Hamilton Tigers battled the Boston Bruins on March 7, 1925, and we offer a Hamilton program (Barton Street Arena) for the match. Featuring a generic cover with "Ten Cents per Copy" listed, the 8-page program sports the line-up at the center along with the date, with period advertisements throughout. The Bruins would win the match 2-0, with Charles Stewart earning the shutout. There is minor creasing throughout the program, with the bottom corner of the back cover clipped. Surviving programs from the first decade of the NHL are nearly impossible to find, making this specimen featuring both the short-lived Hamilton Tigers along with the Boston Bruins during the club's inaugural season a real prize.
