Enjoying an especially lengthy 22-season career that included being crowned a Stanley Cup champion in 2004, Dave Andreychuk holds the 2nd place NHL record for most career power-play goals, with the HOF member scoring over 1,300 points throughout his career. Buffalo's first round draft pick at 16th overall in 1982, offered here, we present this photo-matched Buffalo Sabres jersey worn by Andreychuk during the 1986-87 season. Made by CCM, a washed out born on date reading "86 07" is affixed to the inner collar with the garment itself measuring out to roughly a size "52". Featuring a yellow and blue CCM logo embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Sabres team crest in layered tackle twill that features embroidered details while a distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been added over the left breast and matching Buffalo logo crests the same as the one on the front reside over both shoulders. Of note, it is believed that the jersey was patched with the "A" and used a back up in seasons after its initial use as the Sabres wore a different style of "A" during the 1986-87 campaign, using the style seen on this one during the 1987-88, 1988-89 and 1990-91 seasons. Having had Andreychuk's number "25" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer blue-over-yellow tackle twill numerals while "Andreychuk" is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the back. Exhibiting strong game-wear, stick marks are observed over the front, reverse and both sleeves with the latter two areas also displaying numerous red and blue coloured board paint transfers and board burns as well. Also riddled with team repairs over the front and both sleeves with five (5) over the left sleeve, two (2) over the right sleeve and two (2) over the front as well, other wear is found in the form of spot staining throughout and good pilling on the interior. Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, an included image of Andreychuk that was taken during a game against the Edmonton Oilers on either January 18th, 1987 (1 goal and 2 assists) or March 29th, 1987 (1 assist) is matched to the large cut at the front hem which has since been repaired.
