Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/29/2023
Combining for a total of 18 Stanley Cup championships during their time as players for the famed Montreal Canadiens, Maurice Richard and Jean Beliveau would both play their entire National Hockey League tenures in the club's famous red, white and blue colours and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961 and 1972 respectively. Offered here, we present this late-1990s Montreal Canadiens pro stock jersey that has been signed by both of the hockey legends. Made by Starter and featuring Starter/Center Ice Authentic Collection tagging affixed to the inner collar along with a size "54-R" label, both the Starter and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Canadiens team crest in layered tackle twill with embroidered details throughout, the jersey features pro on-ice elements such as a fight strap on the interior and reinforced elbows. Remaining in overall excellent condition despite some minor pen marks over the left elbow and lower reverse, both Richard and Beliveau have signed the front crest with black marker ink signatures that display well and without issue.
