Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Quite possibly the greatest defenseman to ever play in the National Hockey League despite his relatively short career, Bobby Orr would win eight straight Norris Trophy’s and lead the Boston Bruins to two Stanley Cups before his retirement after only twelve (12) years and 657 games played. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979, offered here is this stick signed by Orr. A replica Victoriaville Pro model that resembles what Bobby used during his time as a member of the Boston Bruins, his number "4" and "B. Orr" is stamped over the upper shaft while a pair of black, white and yellow accent stripping stickers appear around the shaft. Featuring a ribbed white tape job over the top of the handle and a single ring of black around the blade, Orr has signed over the forehand side of the blade with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Remaining in overall excellent condition with some minor marks around the lower shaft, heel and blade as well as some paper residue above the top accent stripping sticker around the shaft, a GNR hologram is affixed to the blade alongside the signature, which is accompanied by a matching GNR COA.
