The second installment of the National Hockey League-sanctioned competition, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey featured the world's eight best hockey nations, with Canada defeating Finland in the final. This Team USA jersey has been signed by Team USA, and it is accompanied by a stick issued to Chris Chelios that has been multi-signed at his Charity Golf Classic (this model was used briefly with Red Wings in the early-2000s). The jersey is made by Nike with "XL" (54) sizing with a tackle twill team crest. Approx 24 signed in matching blue marker, including Leetch, Amonte, Chelios, Tkachuk, Modano, Gomez, Rafalski, Conroy, Halpern, Smolinski, Liles, Langenbrunner, Conklin and others. The stick is an Easton Synergy model with "24 Chelios" factory graphics. Never used, the stick has been signed on one side of the shaft and blade by approx 28 in mixing inks including Wayne Gretzky, Brett and Bobby Hull, Keith Magnuson, Sergei Fedorov, Mark Howe, Stan Mikita, Denis Savard, Theo Fleury, Peter Mahovlich and others. Of note, some of the autographs on the stick do show wear and signs of age through things like scratches and smudges. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
