The grandson of the late great Soviet hockey player and coach of the same name, Viktor Tikhonov would hear his named be called 28th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and go on to play a total of 111 games in the National Hockey League split between the Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks. A gold medalist with his native Russia at the 2014 IIHF World Championships with a silver won the year later at the same tournament, offered here is this photo-matched Coyotes jersey worn by Tikhonov during the 2010-11 pre-season. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, the crests of the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and back necklines of the tie-neck style garment respectively. Decorated with a large Coyotes team crest over the front that features both textured and embroidered details, an alternate logo patch in the shape of the state of Arizona has been added over the left shoulder. Accented on the sleeves and verso with Tikhonov's number "41" in single layer burgundy twill numerals, "Tikhonov" is spelt out in matching style across the top of the back in letters that have been affixed directly to the jersey itself. Having had a team tag denoting the jersey as an "Official 2010/11 Set 1 T.C." offering sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey shows light game-wear via stick marks over both sleeves and a board burn over the left elbow while small spot stains are observed over the lower front. Accompanied by a matching Coyotes LOA, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #105492802 (September 29th, 2010 vs Edmonton) to various stick marks over Tikhonov's right sleeve.
