Continuing on, the 1977-78 near-complete set includes 263 of the 263 cards that make up the checklist and is missing only card #195 of Stan Mikita for completion. With a good majority of the cards included in the set found to be in the condition ranges of EX and EX-MT, some cards are also seen as being in the higher grade state of NM as well. Including a second near-complete assembly of '77-'78 Topps that includes 259 of the 264 cards in the checklist, the group is missing only those of 10, 55-P. Moving ahead in the group by a year, the 1978-79 set has a story much like the one from the year before, missing a total of five (5) cards out of the checklist for completion including those of 75, 115-Bossy RC, 130-Perreault, 183 and 207 while the 259 cards that are present are largely found in the condition scope of EX. For the last three (3) near-complete sets that are included, the 1981-82 release is represented by a group that is missing just card #52, the team leaders offering of "The Great One", for completion and is found in the EX-MT to NM condition range overall throughout its entirety while a second 1981-82 grouping sports 126 of the 132 cards and is missing the same Gretzky card as well as #'s 80, 93, 96, 98 and 100. In the condition range of EX-MT to NM condition overall, card #16 of Wayne Gretzky is around VG condition because of a crease in the lower left corner and wear to the corners. Lastly, a 1984-85 near-complete offering rounds out the group and boasts 162 of the 165 cards found in the checklist being present and accounted for in the neighbourhood of EX-MT to NM condition overall while missing cards 18, 49-Yzerman rookie and 163 for completion. Additionally, a 1978 Topps baseball set is also included that is missing approximately nineteen (19) cards.
