One of only 29 players to make up the prestigious Triple Gold Club as winners of World Championship and Winter Olympic gold medals as well as the Stanley Cup, Alexander Mogilny spent parts of 16 seasons applying his trade in the NHL, with additional time representing his nation internationally. Selected by Buffalo 88th overall in 1988 and the first player from the Soviet Union to defect in order to play in North America, offered here is this stick used by Mogilny as a member of the Sabres in the early-to-mid-1990s, circa the 1993-94 season. A Christian Super Stick 2000 model twig with "89 Mogilny" stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains Mogilny's original tape job of white over the handle and black over the toe area of the blade, the stick remains structurally sound and free from any breaks. Exhibiting just light game wear via some marks over the lower shaft, heel and blade, some additional marks are present over both sides of the blade tape as well while some wear is found on the underside of the heel. Of note, some small chips are found throughout the edges of the shaft in the middle of its length and the accent sticker one the lower shaft remains intact and in place.
