Established in 1965 as the London Nationals and renamed the Knights in 1968, the London club of the Ontario Hockey League has long since established itself as one of the top tier franchises in Canadian Major Junior Hockey, winning Memorial Cups in 2005 and 2016 as well as OHL championships in 2005, 2012, 2013 and 2016. Boasting an NHL alumni list that is a mile long and having had at least one (1) player drafted in each NHL Entry Draft from 1969 onward, offered here is this mid-to-late-1970s OMJHL London Knights jersey that is attributed to have been worn by Rob Ramage during his time with the club. A white durene knit offering that is made by Wilson but void of the brand label that was once affixed to the inner collar (the outline of its former placement and small remains of it are still present), the classic tie-neck style garment measures out to roughly a modern size "50". Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Knights team crest in layered tackle twill that also features thin chain-stitched embroidery details throughout, the number "5" has been sewn to both the sleeves and verso in dual layer green-over-yellow tackle twill numerals with it known that Ramage wore the number during all three (3) seasons he played with the Knights (1975-76, 1976-77 and 1977-78 - the last year he was also one of the club's alternate captain's). Void of a fight strap on the interior but showing heavy pilling throughout, the jersey displays with beautiful game-wear all over including stick marks over the front and both sleeves, heavy pilling and yellow dye transfer at the end of each sleeve, board burns, scuffs and scrapes over both sleeves, a faint red board paint transfer mark over the right sleeve, moderate-to-heavy pilling down both sides of the body, numerous team repairs throughout the body and sleeves and green coloured stains over the lower reverse. Additionally, there is light fading and/or repairs to the numbers over both the sleeves and verso with popped seams and damage to each digit as well.
