Winning the second Stanley Cup of his career the year prior in his first campaign as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, Brett Hull would register the most productive of his three (3) seasons with the Wings in 2002-03, registering 37 goals and 76 points as Detroit once again made the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Offered here, we present this pair of gloves worn by "The Golden Brett" during the 2002-03 season as a member of the Red Wings. Model CP94 gauntlets made by Eagle and done up in Detroit's red and white colours, "Hull" is embroidered into the wrist of each, along with "J.J.C.", the initials of his children. Having been marked with a "B" in black marker ink on the inside part of wrist, "Eagle" is screened over each cuff while the company's logo is done in matching style over both thumbs. Exhibiting good wear via rubbing to the fingers and palms of each (the palm of the right hand has been customized with a different material), the nylon covered exteriors show numerous dark stick marks and are dusty while there is light material loss at the end of the fingers. Having been signed by Brett over the top part of each thumb with black marker ink signatures that display without issue, don't allow yourself to miss out on something worn by one of the game's all-time greatest goal scorers. Additionally, Getty Image #52303703 and #52303682, both from January 28th, 2003 against the New Jersey Devils appear to show similarities between some of the wear to the white leather at the ends of the fingers on the right glove, the "B" written on the right glove and to the stick mark through the "E" and "A" of the right glove but are not conclusive enough to call a definitive photo-match.
