Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Jason Chimera played for the Oilers for two seasons before playing the rest of his 1100-game career with the Blue Jackets, Capitals, Islanders and Ducks. The size tag indicates it is a size "58" on the inner collar and the back of the collar has a "Reebok" patch. The accompanying MeiGray LOA confirms that "this Third Set 2 jersey was worn by #25 Jason Chimera during the 2013-2014 National Hockey League regular season". The jersey does not show a lot of game wear, other than the half a dozen or so game marks near the right underarm. The jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #477989611 (March 11th, 2014 vs the Pittsburgh Penguins) to the game mark on Chimera’s right cuff.
