A seven-time National Hockey League all-star who won a trio of Stanley Cup championships during his lengthy 22-year career that saw him play in 1652 games for the likes of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Montreal, Carolina, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Boston, Mark Recchi would also add two (2) more Stanley Cups to his portfolio in 2016 and 2017 as a development coach of the Penguins. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017, offered here is this photo-matched Philadelphia Flyers jersey worn by Recchi during the 2000-01 season. Made by Koho and featuring both size "52" and "Made in Canada" fly tags affixed to the inner collar, a Koho logo patch has been placed over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Flyers team crest that has been administer in a layered tackle twill style, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have had Recchi's number "8" sewn to them in dual layer tackle twill numerals while "Recchi" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Signed by Recchi over the "8" on the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue, the distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been added over the left breast as well. Exhibiting good game-wear throughout including a large team repair on the reverse, stick marks are present over the front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns are dotted over both sleeves while coloured board paint transfer marks are observed over the left sleeve as well. Showing some light spot stains in the white areas of both sleeves, very light pilling/snags are found on the interior at the elbows. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched to Getty Image #657565 (January 2nd, 2001 vs New Jersey) to the stick mark over the left shoulder and the loose thread in the black area at the bottom portion of the team crest.
