Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Enjoying a lengthy pro career in a number of leagues in both North America and Europe, Alexandre Giroux saw action with four NHL clubs, last playing in the league for Columbus in 2011-12. From that very season, we offer a Bluejackets third jersey worn by the Quebec City native, specifically in just one game, on Oct 30, 2011 vs Anaheim. A label with "56" sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the team's alternate crest in felt with embroidered details, "28" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with "Giroux" across the nameplate in single beige twill. Worn for 6:10 of ice time in just a single contest, there is no visible game-wear as expected. The team patch resides on the inside hem, and it denotes the jersey as an "Alt Set 1" specimen.
