Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Finnish star Jere Lehtinen played in Dallas for 14 seasons and won the Frank J. Selke Trophy in 1997-98, 1998-99, and 2002-03. He also contributed to the Stanley Cup victory in 1998-99. The CCM size tag indicates it is a size "56" on the inner collar, and the back of the collar has a "Reebok" patch. The MeiGray patch on the inside hem states "NHL game-worn jersey 2009-2010 season G00055", and according to MeiGray's population report, the jersey is a "Black Set 1 w/A" specimen. However, there is no visible evidence of the former alternate captain's "A" on the breast, although it should be noted that he did wear the "A" in some games with the black jersey. The MeiGray LOA confirms that “this Black Set 1 jersey was worn by #26 Jere Lehtinen during the 2009-2010 National Hockey League regular season”. The right sleeve above the number "26" has two board burns. The lower left sleeve has a material-backed team repair and an unrepaired board burn. There is some pilling on both inside lower sleeves, and the fight strap shows signs of some washing. Accompanied by a MeiGray LOA with the Authentication Program number G00055 matching the one on the jersey.
