Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
There’s no more NHL hockey in Arizona, no more NHL hockey in Phoenix, but here is tangible proof of desert hockey. Phoenix Coyotes prospect Justin Weller wore this No. 63 jersey during the team’s training camp for the 2010-11 season. Weller was selected by Phoenix in the fourth round (No. 105) of the 2009 NHL Draft after his second of five seasons with Red Deer of the WHL. Size 56 flag tag hangs in the back of the neck of his training camp-worn jersey, which has the PHX patch in the shape of the state of Arizona sewn on the left shoulder. Nicely detailed Coyotes team crest is sewn on the front and surname letters on the nameplate and numbers on the back and both sleeves are sewn-on burgundy twill. There is a small black mark to the right of the upper part of the “3” on the back. “Official 2010/11 Training Camp Game Worn Jersey” team patch is sewn inside the rear tail.
