A veteran of 538 games played after the Toronto Maple Leafs drafted him in the 9th round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft at 223rd overall. A hardnosed defenceman who would represent his native Russia on numerous occasions, offered here is this photo-matched Detroit Red Wings jersey worn by 2008 IIHF World Championship gold medalist Danny Markov during the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Made by Reebok, a lone size “56” tag is affixed to the inner collar while both Reebok and NHL shield logo patches have been added over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Decorated over the front with Detroit’s famed winged wheel team crest that features embroidered details throughout, the sleeves and verso have had Markov’s number “95” sewn to them in single layer white twill numerals while “Markov” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters that have been applied directly to the upper back in a gentle arch above the numbers. Exhibiting game-wear via light stick marks and spot stains over the front hem, additional signs of use are observed via stick marks and a pair of team repairs over the jersey’s right sleeve along with light pilling on the interior. Having has a Red Wings team tag denoting the jersey as a “2006-2007 Authentic Game Jersey Playoff Set” offering sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey has bene photo-matched with Getty Image #74157936 (May 13th, 2007 vs Anaheim - Western Conference Finals Game 2) to the stick mark over Markov's right sleeve. Accompanied by a HockeyTown Authentics COA, an additional serial numbered hologram and the original team store price tag will also be included.
