A veteran of 1330 National Hockey League games over the course of 22 seasons of play, Ray Whitney would win a Memorial Cup in 1991 as a member of the Spokane Cheifs and a Stanley Cup in 2006 as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes. Hailing from his second season of play in his 7th NHL city of Phoenix, offered here is this photo-matched Phoenix Coyotes third jersey worn by Whitney during the 2011-12 season of play. Made by Reebok and featuring a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, the crest logos of the NHL and Reebok have been added over the front and revere necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a Coyotoes alternate logo team crest that features embroidered details throughout, a different alternate logo patch has been placed over the left shoulder while a Phoenix primary logo crest is seen over the right shoulder as well. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Whitney's number "13" in single layer cream twill numerals, "Whitney" has been spelt out in matching style letters that have been sewn down directly to the material of the jersey at the upper reverse. Having had a Coyotes team tag denoting the piece as an "Official 2011/12 Game Worn Jersey" added inside the reverse hem, a handwritten notation reading "11-12" is found in silver marker ink on the interior behind the front crest as well with the jersey also accompanied by a Coyotes LOA. Exhibiting just light game-wear throughout via some light board burns over both sleeves and a stick mark on the right forearm, numerous loose threads are present throughout the interior and exterior of the jersey as well along with light pilling on the interior. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #142094890 (March 29th, 2012 vs San Jose) to the loose thread coming off of the "1" on the right sleeve.
