A first-round draft choice of St. Louis in 1991, Steve Staios played for six different NHL clubs throughout his career, including Boston, Vancouver, Atlanta, Edmonton, Calgary and New York, while also winning gold twice with Team Canada at the IIHF World Championships. The size tag indicates it is a size "58" on the inner collar, and the back of the collar has a "Reebok" patch. The left breast bears an alternate captain’s “A”. The MeiGray patch on the inside hem states "NHL game-worn jersey 2006-2007 season D09460", and according to MeiGray's population report, the jersey is a "Blue Retro Set 1" example. The team patch on the inside hem states “Set #3 Mark Messier Night 2006/2007”. The MeiGray LOA confirms that "the Oilers wore this set of Retro jerseys at Rexall Place on March 3, 2007 vs. Calgary and March 17, 2007 vs. St. Louis". Staios only played in the March 3rd game against Calgary. The lower right sleeve and the bottom of the front jersey exhibit a game mark each. Staios signed the number “2” on the back in black marker, and it is in clear, legible condition. Accompanied by a MeiGray LOA with the Authentication Program number D09460 matching the one on the jersey.
