The third tier of professional hockey in North America, the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) is one of only two leagues minor leagues recognized by the collective bargaining agreement between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association with the other being the AHL. With at least 39 players have played at least one game in the NHL after appearing in the ECHL, offered here is this collection of six (6) ECHL game-worn jerseys dating from the period of 2003 to 2011. Featuring examples from the Reading Royals (Jeff Likens – 2007-08 – Penguins Throwback), Johnstown Chiefs (Brent Kelly – 2004-05), San Diego Gulls (Bob Cunningham – 2005-06), Manchester Monarchs (Michael Houser – 2015-16 – Signed), Greenville Swamp Rabbits (Austin McKay – 2017-18 – Signed) and Dayton Bombers (Martin Paquet – 2003-04), all the jerseys are made by either SP, Reebok or CCM and are all either size “56” or “58”. Of note, the Houser jersey is a goalie style. All decorated over the front with beautiful team crests that display with embroidered details, all six (6) feature ECHL league logos in the form of embroidery or patches over the reverse hems along with half showing MeiGray crests as well while SP, Reebok or CCM identifiers are present over either the reverse necklines and/or left breasts/under the collar. With all also sporting either alternate logo/NHL affiliate and/or sponsorship crests, each jersey has been accented over the sleeves and verso with their original wearer’s number while their name is spelt out across affixed matching nameplates. Of note, the Swamp Rabbits jersey has had an ECHL 30th anniversary patch added over the reverse hem. All showing game-wear, things like stick marks, board burns, stains, coloured paint transfers, unrepaired holes, pills and pulls are observed, the McKay and Paquet jerseys are accompanied by LOA’s either from the team itself or MeiGray.
