Drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 1st round, 14th overall in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Sergei Gonchar played 1,301 regular season games across six different cities, including Washington, Boston, Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Dallas and Montreal. This Ottawa Senators photo-matched jersey was worn by the Russian star during the 2011-12 NHL playoffs, specifically in Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals vs the Rangers, where in Game 4 Ottawa won the match 3-2 in overtime. Gonchar scored the game-tying goal in the second period while wearing this jersey. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines. Styled with the classic Senators textured team crest, “55” resides over the sleeves and verso in dual-colour twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Game-wear includes a stick mark and large team repair to the right sleeve, along with an additional two large team repairs to the right sleeve. Getty Images #142985490 (April 16, 2012 Game 3 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals) and #143087298 (April 18, 2012 Game 4 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals) have both been matched to the distinct stick mark on the middle of the right sleeve. The team patch numbered “A-0322” resides on the inside hem, with a matching COA from the Senators to accompany.
