A product of the NCAA's Wisconsin Badgers who was drafted 2nd overall by the Atlanta Thrashers at the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Dany Heatley would go on to play a total of 869 games over the course of his National Hockey League career with the likes of Atlanta, Ottawa, San Jose, Minnesota and Anaheim while also representing Team Canada in six (6) World Championships, two (2) Olympics, and one (1) World Cup of Hockey, as well as two (2) World Junior Championships. The Calder Memorial Trophy winner in 2002 and an Olympic gold medalist in 2010, offered here is this Ottawa Senators jersey worn by "Heater" during Ottawa's October 5th, 2008 contest in Stockholm, Sweden against the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of the "2008 NHL Premiere", that resulted in a 3-1 victory with Heatley scoring a pair of goals, including the game winner. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "58+" label affixed to the inner collar, the front and reverse necklines have been accented with the crests of the NHL shield and Reebok respectively. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, the all-important “NHL Premiere Stockholm” patch has been attached over the right breast with matching Sens alternate logo patches residing over each shoulder. Displaying the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast, the sleeves and verso have had Heatley's number "15" sewn to them in dual layer red-over-black tackle twill numerals while "Heatley" has been spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate that is in place at the top of the reverse. Signed by Heatley through the "5" on the reverse with a silver marker ink signature that displays without issue and showing just light game-wear via a couple of fabric pulls over the right elbow and a white coloured board paint transfer over the left elbow, there is also some light pilling inside the lower reverse and some small spot stains over the reverse as well.
Having been photo-matched with an image from the contest that shows the white coloured board paint transfer over the left elbow, a MeiGray tag numbered "F06944" has been sewn on inside the reverse hem, with the company's population report listing the jersey as a "White w/ Premiere Stockholm Patch w/A" example. A matching MeiGray LOA will accompany the piece.
