A veteran of 696 National Hockey League games, Anton Volchenkov’s NHL journey started after being drafted 21st overall in 2000 by the Ottawa Senators. Representing his native Russia on numerous occasions throughout his career, including at the 2006 and 2010 Olympic Games, up for grabs here is this Senators jersey worn by Volchenkov in 2006-07, specifically in the 3-2 loss to New Jersey on Jan 6, 2007. A CCM label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests over the bottom hem and reverse neckline. Styled with a large tackle twill Sens team crest, “24” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in oversized numerals, with the Garth Brooks “Teammates for Kids” patch residing just above the right breast. Sporting light game-use, there is a couple of small stains on the left sleeve. A MeiGray crest numbered “D07543” is affixed to the inside hem with a matching LOA to accompany, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Red w/ ”Teammates for Kids” Patch – 1/6/07” specimen.
