An 18-year NHL veteran, Ed Jovanovski would be elected to five All-Star Games over the course of a career that saw him play 1128 games in 18-years. Offered here, we present this vintage style Canucks jersey worn by Jovanovski during the 2003-04 season. Made by CCM and featuring a size “58” tag affixed to the inner collar, a CCM logo patch has been sewn over the rear hem alongside an embroidered NHL shield emblem. Modeled after the jerseys Vancouver wore during the 1972-73 season, the front is decorated with a classic “stick in rink” logo crest, the NHL Vintage Series program patch has been added over the right breast while the distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been added over the left breast. Accented with Jovanovski’s number “55” in single layer white tackle twill numerals over both the sleeves and verso, “Jovanovski” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Featuring customized shortened sleeves and worn for just a single contest on November 25th, 2003 against the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre, the jersey shows game use via board burns that are found near the bottom of the right sleeve, another single board burn over the right shoulder and a couple of light stick marks on the inside of the left sleeve/cuff, “#55 Jovanovski” has been penned to the underside of the fight strap on the interior. Displaying a MeiGray tag numbered “B09789” sewn inside the reverse hem, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Blue Vintage Set 1” specimen. A matching LOA will accompany the piece.
