Richard Zednik’s 2008-09 Panthers gamer is from the season after he sustained a gruesome injury when his throat was slashed by teammate Olli Jokinen’s skate blade. The Slovak forward had 33 points in 70 games in 2008-09 to wrap up his NHL career with an even 200 goals and 379 points in 745 games with Washington, Montreal, the N.Y. Islanders and Florida. Made by Reebok, a single size “56” flag tag is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of Reebok and the NHL shield have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a large Panthers team crest that features beautifully embroidered details, the shoulders of the jersey have been accented with matching alternate logo patches. Having had Zednik’s number “20” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Zednik” is spelled out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting good game wear, including a black mark on the team crest and a team repair high on the right front near the sleeve seam , along with board burns, burn holes and blue paint transfer on the right sleeve, which has a black mark on the elbow, two team repairs and a couple of unrepaired burn holes on the left sleeve. “Florida Panthers Authentic game worn jersey 2008-2009 Season Navy Set #1” team patch sewn inside the rear tail with its inventory number.
